BookMyCostume believes in helping its customers as far as possible, and has therefore a liberal cancellation policy.
(Please note the below policy doesn't apply to International Orders. There are no returns or refunds applicable to International orders once the order is shipped.)
How do I cancel an order on bookmycostume.com?
If unfortunately you have to cancel an order, please do so within 24 hours of placing the order. Please send a mail to email@example.com or you can call us at 9999490730.
For outright cancellations by you:
- If you cancel your order before your product has shipped, we will refund the entire amount. During peak season such as festivals and order made during Coronavirus lockdown, we shall charge a nominal fee for cancellation. Mischievous orders done (to exploit any system loophole or knowingly that the order can't be fulfilled) can face cancellation charge to cover online transaction fees & other costs.
If the cancellation is after your product has shipped:
- If you received the product, it will be eligible for replacement, only in cases where there are defects found with the product. Such incident should be reported within 24 hours of receiving the product along with image proof of the issues.
- If the product is refused, the actual shipping charges of to & fro will have to be borne by the customer. The actual shipping charges borne are higher than the delivery charges on the website.
Refunds will be initiated in the bank account of the customer or in the original mode of payment within 10 working days from the date of cancellation of order.
Please note that we send a size similar to the one order or one size bigger as per default manufacturing. The size chart is indicative of your child to better select the age as per the child's growth. We ensure that the shipped costume matches what is depicted on the website however if you really dislike the product, you may call us the same day on receiving the costume. We can proceed on refund after deducting nominal charges.
Please note that we do not do refunds for rental orders unless wrong product is shipped different from the original order. Though we make necessary arrangements for good upkeep of rental costumes, a rental dress is a used piece and not necessarily brand new. We ensure that the shipped costume matches what is depicted on the website. If there is a size issue, we do proceed on exchange and charge nominal delivery charges towards the same.
International orders are non-refundable and non-returnable once shipped.
Security Refund Policy for Rental Costumes:
If order payment is made online, then the refund is processed in the original mode of payment within 10-15 working days after receiving the costume.
We earlier used to accept orders on cash on Delivery payment method. If it is a Cash on Delivery order, in most cases, we issue a Payout Link that is sent on your registered mobile number and email ID. Request you to fill in your account details to get the security deposit refund. In rare cases, we request you to share your bank details with us directly through registered email ID to process the security refund.
The refund happens after the costume has reached us and a full refund of security deposit is done unless the product has been damaged, stained with marks, or a part is missing.
In such a rare case, partial/full money will be deducted and remaining amount transferred. If the rental refund has not been received, do make sure you are checking in the account from which original payment was done and contact us on mail with your order ID. We will get in touch with the payments team and get the issue resolved at the earliest.
If you think, you have received the product in a bad condition or if the packaging is tampered with or damaged before delivery, please refuse to accept the package and return the package to the delivery person. Also, please call our customer care at +91 9999490730 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org mentioning your Order ID. We will personally ensure that a brand new replacement is issued to you with no additional cost. Please make sure that the original product tag and packing is intact when you send us the product back. In certain exception cases, we do issue a partial refund if you are unhappy with the product however the discretion of BookMyCostume is final.
Apart from condition reserved herein above, the following products shall not be eligible for return or replacement, viz:
• Any product that exhibits physical damage to the product and/or its accessory;
• Any product that is returned without all parts and items originally included with the product at the time of delivery;
• Any product without a valid, readable, untampered serial number and tag, including but not limited to products with missing, damaged, altered, or otherwise unreadable serial number;
• Any product from which the UPC (Universal Product Code) has been removed from its original packaging (if any).
• BookMyCostume management's decision on the above refund & cancellation policy will be final.
